PSAT/NMSQT
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a practice test for the SAT exam and is administered in October during a school day each year. Students in the 11th grade are eligible to take this exam in preparation for the SAT. This test provides an excellent opportunity to participate in a national testing program and can be an effective diagnostic tool. The PSAT/NMSQT includes a Reading Test, a Writing and Language Test, and a Math Test. There is no passing score for this test. Test booklets will be returned to students in January and an email will be sent out with information on how to review and interpret results.

SAT
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is the nation's most widely used college admission test, the SAT is taken by more than two million students every year and is accepted by virtually all colleges and universities. The SAT tests the reading, writing and math skills that are critical for success in college and beyond. The SAT also provides the opportunity for students to connect to scholarship opportunities, place out of certain college courses, and learn more about their academic strengths.
Four-year college-bound students should take the SAT during the spring semester of their junior year and again during the fall semester of their senior year. Most colleges require students to take the SAT or ACT no later than the December test date of their senior year.
Official SAT practice test is available through Khan Academy. Practice anytime, anywhere, at no cost.
