Junior Information

Sign up for the Class of 2025 Google Classroom - Code hd2octs 

1.  Go to Google Classroom

  • Download the Google Classroom app on your mobile device or go to the website classroom.google.com (app is preferred so you can get push notifications).
  • Make sure you are logged in under your SCHOOL account

2.  Join a Class

  • Locate the plus icon in the upper right of the classroom page to enter the join code.
  • Enter the code for each class above that applies to you (for example, if you are a Junior AP student, join both classes)

3. Turn on Notifications

  • Locate your settings within the app (usually accessed by clicking the upper left button).
  • Go to "notifications" and turn on classroom notifications (email and/or classes you're enrolled in).

4.  Ask if you Need Help

  • Come by the Activities Office or ask your teachers to help you with your initial set-up

 

Junior Conference Information 

Junior Conferences, in Mid to late January
Juniors formally meet with their counselor in a small-group and one-on-one setting during their English classes in mid to late January through February.  Junior Conference meetings include a review of freshman and sophomore grades and to make sure students are on track for meeting Clovis Unified graduation and CSU/UC admission requirements and NCAA/NAIA requirements if necessary. Students will also work on a college and career exploration activity through various college and career programs. After a counselor meets with a student an email will be sent to the parent/guardian email on file with a copy of the conference form that was reviewed and completed by the counselor and student.
 

Junior Parent Night in January

Counselors will host a parent informational night in mid to late January during the evening hours in the Library Lecture Hall. Topics that will be covered are:  CUSD graduation requirements, CSU/UC requirements, college entrance exams (SAT School Day), free Community College, QuestbridgeCARTCTENCAA/NAIAXelloGoogle Classroom communication, student resume, senior year, college visits/fairs, registration information, transcripts, scholarships/financial aid, and breakout sessions with college representatives.

Letters of Recommendation

If you would like for your counselor to write a Letter of Recommendation, please complete the Letter of Recommendation request questionnaire (at the bottom of this page) and turn it in to your counselor as least two weeks BEFORE you need your letter.  You can also email your answers to your counselor along with your educational resume.
